How to Make Your Own Hard Cover for iPad mini (Do It Yourself Project)
This is a simple way to covert an old book into an iPad mini hard cover. Your new cover will be unique, functional and will cost nothing! It will also keep your iPad mini safe from theft by making it look like just an old book. Thiefs don't like books!
Here are the steps you need to take:
1. Find an old book with a slightly larger size than your iPad mini. The book should also be thick enough to have room to insert the iPad mini in between paper layers.
2. Remove some chapters from the book by easily pulling out, or cutting by a sharp knife. You must remove the chapters in the middle, so that the iPad mini will be "sandwiched" in between the first and last chapters.
3. Insert your iPad mini to see if the gap is enough to keep the book in the same size when it is closed.
4. Continue removing pages until you have enough space to insert the iPad mini, but not too much, otherwise it will cause the book's overall size to shrink.
5. Find an elastic strap to put around the book. That will hold the book closed and keep your iPad mini safe from slipping down. You may use your creativity to fix the strap on the back cover of the book.
6. Now put your iPad in the space between the pages, and cover the strap around. You're ready to go!
